Forming faceted concrete hooks is a project that provides the form of current design trends, while still offering a number of functions. Whether holding a single scarf or supporting the contents of an entire bar, concrete hooks have a number of practical applications around the home.
When working with cement-based products, always wear eye protection and waterproof gloves.
Step 1
Download and print the templates on 11”x17” multipurpose paper.
Step 2
Glue the printed templates to cardboard
Step 3
Use the Scissors to cut out the cardboard-backed templates, and use a metal ruler to score the edges for folding.
Step 4
Paint the inside surface of the cardboard.
Step 5
Insert the Hardware. First, wrap a business card around the L-bracket and tape it in-place to make a sheath. Then, use a screw to make a pin that will connect the concrete to the bracket.
Step 6
Fold and tape the mold, using duct tape.
Step 7
Fill the mold with concrete, and allow the concrete to cure for 20 hours.
Step 8
Remove the concrete from the cardboard.
Step 9
Mount the L-bracket, slide the concrete over it, and insert the screw.
